Erinn Rushing
Some people wait for the perfect moment. Erinn Rushing creates it.
Nearly four years ago, she took a leap of faith, stepping into Amwins as a Team Manager—with zero background in insurance. What she did have? Over two decades of experience in Human Resources, an unshakable passion for people, and the mindset to figure it out.
Erinn’s career began in banking, but her real transformation happened in a non-profit mental healthcare facility for children. It was there she found her voice—coordinating onboarding, facilitating training, and realizing that development isn’t just a role, it’s a mission. She pursued a master’s degree in human services, believing she had found her lifelong career path. But life had other plans.
When she joined Amwins, she felt like a fish out of water—no longer the subject matter expert, no longer the person with all the answers. That discomfort? It became her fuel. She opened herself up to learning, listening, and connecting, proving that expertise is built, not born. When asked in her interview if she could manage an insurance team, she was told: “We can teach you insurance—just bring your people skills.” She did just that.
Erinn also found NAAIA—a place where she could be her full self, where she saw people who looked like her, and where her values aligned with her vision. She never looked back.
But beyond the titles and achievements, Erinn’s true legacy is her family. A teen mom at 17, she refused to let statistics define her. She and her daughter grew together, fueled by work ethic, optimism, and the belief that barriers only exist if you accept them. Today, she watches her children build their own futures—a living reflection of her resilience.
Her advice? Give 150%. Master your craft. Stay relevant. Build a reputation people trust. And when you make it? Reach back and pull someone else up.
Erinn Rushing isn’t just shaping careers—she’s shaping legacies.
